PureBOX® in Polgárdi

PureBOX® in Polgárdi

Instead of systems supplied from Western Europe, we have developed and manufactured our new infiltration system in-house, having sustainability and a circular economy in the focus. The result of two years' work, PureBOX® provides a highly efficient solution for rainwater management, helping to reduce the environmental impact of intense rainfall.

The first Hungarian installation of our newborn product took place in Polgárdi, near to lake Balaton.

Construction work has started on a new discount store in Polgárdi, along the main road. It is expected to be completed by the second quarter of the year. For the project, 938 pieces of PureBOX® with a volume of 60x60x60 cm, 216 litres and 94% storage capacity have been manufactured and delivered, of which 560 have been installed under the car park to be built in the first phase.

The system, designed to support infiltration of the rainwater falling on the roof and the parking area of the warehouse, will be able to handle a total of 190 cubic metres of rainfall. Thanks to its high load capacity, PureBOX® can also be installed under vehicle traffic with 60 cm of ground cover, allowing 560 elements to be placed under the car park.

This project is a significant milestone for us, as it was the first time in Hungary that we installed PureBOX® rainwater retention system to promote natural infiltration, reduce runoff and support groundwater recharge.
PureBOX® is made from 100% regranulated PP; it reduces the environmental impact of production and supports the circular economy by reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 60-70% compared to solutions made from conventional materials

Thanks to the integrated elements, installation is faster and simpler than at similar products, as the elements are connected in layers (six connection points for a 60 cm block).

Another important advantage of the development is that 100% renewable energy is used for production, and thanks to Hungarian manufacturing, the environmental impact of transport is significantly reduced in terms of the the Polgárdi project as well.
