Water and sanitation: state of the network, "unbilled money"

The Hungarian Association of Environmental Enterprises (HAEE), in the face of increasing climate, nature and environmental challenges, has launched the follow-up to its highly successful publication two years ago, which serves as a comprehensive, professional resource to help decision-makers, professionals, interested parties, college and university students prepare for their everyday work.

Dr. Károly Kovács PhD (oec), President of the Hungarian Water Association and CEO of Pureco, was also one of the book's authors, which was publicly launched on 30 January at the headquarters of HAEE.

At the event, Dr. Csaba Ágoston, the head of HAEE stressed that "the success of our previous publication has confirmed our conviction that the scientific-technical approach has its place in the organisation of economic processes. Only those systems can be successful - in any field - that are consistent with and practically adapt to the rules of the larger systems that host them, the living and inanimate natural environment. In our rapidly changing world, adapting and being resilient is more important than ever. We have to be able to keep up with the pace of change around us and to adapt effectively to the information flows they generate. "

In his article, Dr. Károly Kovács sought to answer the question of how the fact of "unbilled money" in municipal water management affects in practice all three pillars of sustainability: water as a natural resource, water infrastructure as a built environment and accumulated knowledge as a human resource for conservation and development.
